Geology & Formation:
Talisker Bay is part of the Palaeogene Skye Lava Group, a sequence of volcanic basalt flows and associated zeolitised cavities. Over time, low-temperature hydrothermal alteration of these volcanic rocks allowed zeolite minerals such as mesolite and analcime to crystallise in vesicles and cracks. Analcime typically forms first, with mesolite forming later in fibrous sprays within or across the analcime surfaces, creating these striking combinations unique to Skye.

Metaphysical Properties:
Mesolite is said to promote purity, clarity, and energetic cleansing, especially within emotional healing work. It’s known to have high vibrational properties that help elevate the spirit. Analcime is used to bring order, calm, and structural clarity, both mentally and energetically. Together, they make a powerful pair for spiritual balance and meditation practices.
This rare Scottish mesolite on analcime specimen is perfect for crystal collectors, mineralogists, geology lovers, and anyone seeking a high-quality zeolite formation from one of the UK’s most scenic and scientifically important mineral localities.
