The Massif Central in France is geologically renowned for producing some of the most vividly coloured and gemmy fluorite specimens in Europe.

Fluorite crystallises in the cubic crystal system, often forming beautiful cubes and intergrown clusters. It comes in a wide range of colours, with deep purples being among the most sought-after, especially when originating from classic localities like this one.
