A remarkable and rare 8″ Eboraciceras dissimili fossil ammonite, expertly preserved within the Oxford Clay Formation, dated to the Oxfordian Stage of the Upper Jurassic Period, found at Northmoor, Oxfordshire (Oxon), United Kingdom.

This large and uncommon ammonite species, Eboraciceras dissimili, is known for its coarsely ribbed shell and significance in regional biostratigraphy. It is part of the:

  • Order: Ammonitida
  • Superfamily: Stephanoceratoidea
  • Family: Cardioceratidae
