Fluorite is the Healing Crystal for Peace. It reduces instability and disorder. Fluorite (also known as Fluor-spar) is a colourful mineral composed of calcium fluoride. As well as ornamental uses, Fluorite is used in the making of hydrofluoric acid, as a flux in the manufacture of steel, and in the production of certain glasses and enamels. The name Fluorite is derived from the Latin “fluo” meaning flow, in reference to its use as a flux. Fluorite is a beautiful mineral, both in visible and ultraviolet light. Some Fluorite is HIGHLY fluorescent under Low Wave UV light!

Crystal wands are carved from natural gemstones to form a stunning wand shape. Wands are good to hold when you need focus or clarity. Wands are also used in crystal healing to direct healing energy. Wands can be used as massage wands, which are polished or laser wands.

Pointed and faceted point, faceted sides and a smooth rounded base.

ACTUAL AS SEEN: The image shows the EXACT specimen you will receive. The specimen has been carefully hand selected and photographed. Measurements are as accurate as possible, though be aware measuring precise dimensions can be difficult from irregular shaped items. Whilst we portray colours as close to life-like as we can, colours will vary if taken in sunlight, indoors, from monitor to monitor and device to device. Once this specimen is sold, we will update this listing with new similar selected item, with a new photo and dimensions.

Overview of This Purple Fluorite Faceted Massage Wand

This beautifully polished Purple Fluorite Faceted Massage Wand is a genuine natural mineral specimen shaped and crafted to highlight fluorite’s vibrant colour zoning, internal clarity, and geometric crystal structure. The photos show the exact piece you will receive, and a 1 cm scale cube is included to give clear insight into its precise size. Although this is a mineral rather than a fossil, we maintain the same high standard of quality and authenticity: all of our fossils and minerals are 100% genuine specimens and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Chosen for its rich purple tones and beautifully defined facets, this fluorite wand makes an exceptional display piece, collector’s mineral, or functional massage and relaxation tool.

Geological Background of Fluorite

Fluorite, also known as calcium fluoride (CaF₂), is one of the most visually striking minerals in the geological world. It forms in a variety of geological environments, including hydrothermal veins, limestone cavities, and regions of active mineralisation where hot, mineral-rich fluids deposit fluorite as they cool. Purple fluorite derives its colour from trace impurities and structural variations within the crystal lattice.

Fluorite is renowned for its exceptional diversity of colour, occurring in shades of purple, blue, green, yellow, clear, and even multicoloured banded combinations. Purple varieties are particularly prized for their depth, clarity, and association with well-known mining regions around the world.

Mineral Characteristics and Natural Features

This Purple Fluorite Faceted Massage Wand showcases numerous distinctive mineralogical traits:

  • Colour Zoning: Fluorite often displays natural banding or shifts in tone caused by changes in fluid chemistry during crystal formation. Purple fluorite can range from pale lilac to deep royal violet.

  • Transparency: Many fluorite specimens contain areas of translucency to near-clarity, allowing internal structures and light reflections to shine through.

  • Crystal Habit: Fluorite naturally forms in cubic or octahedral shapes. When carved into a wand, the faceting highlights its geometric tendencies and optical behaviour.

  • Hardness: Fluorite has a Mohs hardness of 4, making it ideal for carving and polishing while retaining crisp facet edges.

  • Optical Qualities: Fluorite is known for strong fluorescence under UV light and exceptional light diffusion, giving polished specimens a luminous, glowing appearance.

The wand’s faceted shape brings out the mineral’s natural brilliance by refracting light across each polished surface, enhancing both colour depth and clarity.

Craftsmanship and Design

The wand has been shaped by experienced artisans who carefully faceted each surface to highlight the stone’s best features. The pointed end offers precision for targeted massage or reflexology, while the rounded end provides a comfortable, smooth surface for broader applications. Even for those who do not use it as a functional tool, the craftsmanship transforms fluorite’s natural beauty into an elegant display object.

The faceted geometry enhances visual appeal, allowing the wand to catch light from multiple directions. This creates a dynamic shifting of hue and brightness as the piece is rotated—a hallmark of high-quality fluorite.

Collector and Educational Value

Purple fluorite is highly valued among mineral collectors due to its beauty, crystallographic significance, and geological variety. Each specimen offers insight into:

  • The mineral-rich hydrothermal systems in which fluorite forms

  • The effects of trace elements on mineral colouration

  • Structural variations within halide minerals

  • The natural processes that create optical phenomena such as zoning and fluorescence

Whether displayed in a mineral cabinet, used for educational purposes, or appreciated as a decorative item, this wand demonstrates fluorite’s striking natural qualities.

Authenticity and Presentation

Your Purple Fluorite Faceted Massage Wand is a 100% genuine natural mineral, polished to a smooth, glossy finish. Every photograph reflects the true specimen you will receive, ensuring transparency and accuracy. As with all of our fossils and minerals, a Certificate of Authenticity is included with your purchase.

A Stunning Natural Fluorite Display Piece

With its beautifully saturated purple colour, fine faceting, and elegant polished form, this Purple Fluorite Faceted Massage Wand is both a captivating collector’s specimen and a refined decorative mineral piece suitable for any display or collection.
