Agate naturally forms in many different but faint colours. Due to its porous nature it is often artificially dyed to enhance its natural colour.

This Agate Slice is ‘Dyed’. Diamond saws are used to cut the Agate into slices which are then ground to remove any imperfections, then polished and dyed to help enhance and display the beautiful natural banding within.
