Sodalite is a rich royal blue tectosilicate mineral widely enjoyed as an ornamental gemstone. Sodalite is a member of the sodalite group with hauyne, nosean, lazurite and tugtupite. Discovered in 1811 in the Ilimaussaq intrusive complex in Greenland.

Mineral and Crystal Spheres are highly collectible and beautiful specimens. The mineral, or crystal, has been carved into a sphere to showcase the amazing beauty of the individual specimen, making them stunning ornaments that resemble alien planets.
