Specimen: Livre De Beurre, Neolithic core
Age: Neolithic
Location Found: Pressignien in the Loire, France

Neolithic flake tool cores we could ever offer. Famously known as “Livres de Beurre” cores, it was fashioned out of one of the most famous flint sources of the European Neolithic Period. This is a complete and masterfully shaped large blade tool core that this culture and region in France is famous for. You can see the longitudinal ridges from the strips of stone the blade cores produced. These long flakes were then fashioned into large blades and daggers that have come to be prime hallmarks of this period of European history.

Many Neolithic tool cores are incomplete and broken or show obvious modern plow damage. This specimen was dug from a subterranean level and was therefore, protected from any damage or exposure. It is in impeccable condition and tool collection should be without one fine and complete.

ACTUAL AS SEEN: The image shows the EXACT unique specimen you will receive. Measurements are as accurate as possible, though be aware measuring precise dimensions can be difficult from irregular shaped items. Whilst we portray colours as close to life-like as we can, colours will vary if taken in sunlight, indoors, from monitor to monitor and device to device.
