Calcite is a carbonate mineral and the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate. Calcite is a common constituent of sedimentary rocks, limestone in particular, much of which is formed from the shells of dead marine organisms. Approximately 10% of sedimentary rock is limestone.

I’m a sucked for blue crystals but I don’t like the idea of splashing out loads on giant celestite clusters and angelite pieces. This blue calcite is gorgeous and I actually prefer this over some of my other blue pieces. Highly highly reccomend. One of my favourites definitely
